Two killed in train, tractor collission in Uttar Pradesh

Two person were killed in a collision between a passenger and a tractor near Maura village of the district today, police said.

While one person died on the spot, other succumbed to injuries in the hospital in the area falling under Vrindaban police station when the Alwar bound passenger train collided with the tractor, senior superintendent of police BD Paulson said.

Both the persons were travelling with the same tractor and were related to each other, the SSP said.

The incident triggered protest.

Demanding manned crossing, angry residents of the area blocked the train for nearly one hour, the SSP said adding they allowed the movement of the train only when assured that district administration would pursue their case.

A probe into the accident has been ordered.
