Two ATTF ultras surrender in Tripura

Agartala: Two insurgents of the banned All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) along with their family members have surrendered to the police at Raisyabari, a remote tribal hamlet in Dhalai district.

Police said, Chamajoy Tripura (35), self-styled second lieutenant and Samparai Debbarma (35) fled from their base camp at the neighbouring Chittagong Hill Tract of Bangladesh surrendered to the officer-in-charge of Raisyabari police station yesterday.

The wives of the ultras and one children of each insurgent also fled from the base camp.

They did not deposit any weapon during the surrender.
