The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday said that investigating authorities have identified three Iranians as suspects in connection with the terrorist attack on an Israeli diplomat that occurred on February 13.

The ministry’s official spokesperson said that warrants of arrest against these persons have been issued and the process of issuing Red Corner Notices (RCNs) has been initiated.

He further said that investigations in the case are ongoing as no conclusions can be drawn at this stage.

The spokesperson added that the Iranian Ambassador has been informed about these developments in order to seek the cooperation of Iranian authorities in the probe.

At least four persons were injured, including the wife of an Israeli defence attache working at the Israel Embassy, when an embassy car exploded into flames near the high-security Aurangzeb Road Crossing in New Delhi.

The Delhi Police had earlier arrested a freelance journalist Mohammed Kazmi, working for Iranian news agency, in connection with the attack.
