A chill in the early hours gave way to a pleasant morning in the national capital as the sun came out bright although mercury remained a degree below normal.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.1 degree Celsius against yesterday's 10.3 degrees, the MeT office said. The maximum temperature was recorded at 22.6 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.

There was shallow fog in the early hours today which gave way to a bright sun as the day progressed.

The weatherman has predicted rains and thunderstorm tomorrow and said maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 23 and 12 degree Celsius, respectively.

The first week of February saw the temperatures rise well above normal levels, but a spell of rain brought the temperatures down. On Sunday too, heavy rains lashed various parts of the city.
