Six flights coming here from various Gulf cities were diverted to other airports this morning following heavy rains and poor visibility, airport sources said.

While four of the flights were diverted to Ndeumbassery Airport near Kochi one flight each was directed to land in Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.
The flights that landed in Nedumbassery were IX 344 Dubai-Calicut, IX 372 Doha-Calicut,AI 862 Jeddah-Calicut and G9-945 (Oman Aairways) Muscat-Calicut.
IC 958 Sharja-Calicut was diverted to Chennai and EK 560 (Emirates) Dubai-Calicut to Thiruvananthapuram.
