Six CRPF jawans injured in mishap in Srinagar

A CRPF vehicle carrying jawans was on its way to a nearby camp when a mob from Nund Resh Colony targeted it at the highway this afternoon.

At least six CRPF jawans were injured when their vehicle overturned after a group of youth defied curfew and indulged in stone pelting at Bemina bypass here today, official sources said.
 
The CRPF vehicle carrying jawans was on its way to the nearby camp when a mob from Nund Resh Colony targeted it at the highway this afternoon, the sources said.
 
They said the driver of the vehicle lost control while trying to duck the stones, as a result of which the vehicle turned turtle. Six jawans on aboard including the driver of the vehicle were injured.
 
The mob was chased away by police and CRPF reinforcements and the injured were hospitalised, the sources said.
