Senior ICMR official found dead

A senior official of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) allegedly committed suicide at his residence in south Delhi today, apparently due to depression.

MP Singh, the deputy director of ICMR, was found hanging at Pragati Vihar hostel in CGO Complex's S-Block in south Delhi's Lodhi Colony at around 9:30 am, a senior police official said.

Police said the Control Room received a call at around 9:30 am informing them about the incident.

"He was under depression for the past few days. We are investigating the matter," a senior police official said.
