RJD chief Lalu Prasad's decision to field his wife Rabri Devi from two Bihar Assembly seats reflected his lack of confidence in his home turf, BJP said today.
"The decision to put up Rabri Devi from Sonepur and Raghopur highlights that RJD has conceded defeat much before polling itself," deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said.
Rabri Devi had won from Raghopur in Vaishali district in the 2005 Assembly elections by a margin of about 5,000 votes and is "scared" of JD(U) nominee Satish Kumar this time. "Therefore, she is also contesting from Sonepur," he said.
"We are confident that Rabri Devi will taste defeat from Sonepur also," Modi said.
Prasad himself had contested from two seats in the past whenever he had a hunch about losing, he claimed.
