Rain lashes Puducherry

Puducherry and its suburban areas were pounded by heavy rains lastnight inundating most of the thoroughfares.

The rain accompanied by thunder resulted in water logging at local bus terminal. This was the first sharp showers Puducherry had after suffering hot spell for days together.
 
Mercury dipped bringing relief to the people who were bearing the brunt of the 'agni natchatiram` that ended recently.

The sky remained overcast today and there were drizzles at times.
