Spotting a 10-year-old boy waiting to greet him with flowers, AICC general secretary, Rahul Gandhi, on a brief unscheduled visit to Kerala today, did not disappoint him and advised him to 'study well'.

Shaji, along with some elders from this sleepy village, had been waiting near the venue soon after hearing that the VVIP had come there. Gandhi had visited a camp here to hear and address the Kerala Students Union's elected members.

On his way back to the airport, Rahul spotted Shaji, a seventh standard student, with a bunch of flowers along with some others, including elderly women.

He stopped the vehicle, went up to the boy accepted the flowers with an advice-- 'study well' and acknowledged the greetings of the people who had gathered. Gandhi also obliged the young boy with an autograph. An excited Shaji said he was elated.
