Puducherry assembly condemns Maoist attack on CRPF men

The Puducherry assembly today condemned the massacre of 76 CRPF personnel by Maoist rebels in Chattisgarh`s Dantewada district yesterday.

As soon as question hour was over, speaker R Radhakrishnan made an obituary reference to loss of lives of the security personnel. "We were all shocked and saddened on hearing of the news of the killing of the CRPF personnel", he said.

He also conveyed the condolence of the House to the bereaved families.

All members stood in silence for a couple of minutes as a mark of respect to the security personnel killed in the attack.
