A 20-year-old pregnant woman today died of swine flu at a city-based hospital here, taking the toll in the city due to the virus to nine.

A 20-year-old pregnant woman today died of swine flu at a city-based hospital here, taking the toll in the city due to the virus to nine.Anita Devi, resident of Badarpur area, was admitted to Safdarjung hospital on September 18.

"She was five months pregnant and she tested positive for swine flu on 20 September. She died due to respiratory failure today. With this the toll in the city has risen to nine,"
Delhi Health Minister Kiran Walia said.
    
Swab samples of 2065 people have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus till date. Out of the total positive cases, 108 were identified today.
    
"A total 2065 cases were admitted and treated for swine flu virus in designated government hospitals till date. The NICD has declared 108 positive cases of swine flu virus today of which 70 alone are of children," Walia said.
  
Meanwhile, the city government announced that Tamiflu drug will now be available at retail outlets of authorized chemists here. "More than 90 per cent of the patients have been successfully treated and discharged," she said.
