Poonch observes bandh over beheading of two Sikhs in Pakistan

Amid burning of tyres and protests by the Sikh community, the border town of Poonch today observed bandh in protest against beheading of 2 Sikhs by Taliban in Pakistan's restive northwestern tribal belt.
   
Shops and business establishments remained closed at maximum places and private traffic was partially off the roads on a call given by Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front (JKSUF) which was supported by various organisations.

Tyres were burnt at several important intersections and anti-Taliban slogans were raised.
   
They also choked the some inter district roads for few hours.
   
There was no report of any untoward incident from anywhere during the bandh, a police spokesman said.
   
Two Sikhs who were kidnapped for ransom were beheaded by the Pakistani Taliban in the country's restive tribal belt on Sunday. Some more members of the minority community are still in the custody of rebels.
