Police exchange fire with Naxals in Jhendepar forests

A group of naxalites opened indiscriminate firing on a C60 police party in Jhendepar forests area in Armori in Dhanora taluka of Gadchiroli district today, police said.
    
None were hurt in the ambush that lasted for half an hour and later when police mounted pressure, Naxals managed to flee from the site, they said.

The police later recovered one 12 bore rifle, one country made pistol, one grenade, two rounds of SLR, three rounds of 303 rifle and other cartridges and bags from the incident site.
