Petrol pumps on strike to protest murder of colleague

To protest against murder of their colleague, owners of all petrol and diesel outlets in the district went on a flash strike today.

"To protest against the murder of Bharat Yadav, who was shot dead yesterday, the district petrol dealers association has decided to observe the bandh today," Association's president Sudarshan Das Agarwal said here.

He said that the petrol pump owners will hold a meeting with the district magistrate in the evening after which the future course of action will be decided.

Yadav was shot dead by unidentified persons while he on his way to deposit money in a bank in Pawai Ladpur area, police said.
