Passport case: Court rejects Hasan Ali's anticipatory bail plea

A local court today rejected an anticipatory bail application filed by Pune businessman Hasan Ali Khan in a case relating to his obtaining a passport from the regional office in Patna on the basis of fake documents.

District and Sessions Court Judge VN Mishra passed the order rejecting Khan's plea, filed by his advocate Rana Pratap.

Pratap had moved the application on May 5, 2011.

A case was registered at Kotwali police station in December last year by a passport official in Patna against Khan for obtaining a passport in 1997 by submitting fake residential address.
