If you are wondering what the new year has to offer, in view of all the doomsday predictions being made about 2012, relax. The year is considered as a year of hope. And, if the predictions of the astrologers of Akhil Gujarat Astrological Society (AGAS) are to be believed, the year is going to be full of activity and positive developments for Gujarat.
Senior Astrologer Raghnath Sashtri, who was one of the dignitaries who spoke at the annual meet of AGAS said that the year ahead is expected to be full of activities. But he warned of political unrest during the middle of the year.
“The positions of the planets indicate that it is going to be a year of mixed experiences. Lot of unexpected and unbelievable things may take place during the year,” Sashtri predicted. However, ruling out the possibility of 2012 being a year of destruction, he said,
“There may not be such big calamities. The number of earthquakes across the world will go up though.”
Another astrologer Maulik Bhatt predicted that the countries of the south-east would face several natural calamities. He, however, said there would be no doomsday.
“There won't be any such thing in 2012 as per Vedic astrology. There may be more natural calamities. Minor incidents are expected across the world but not a major calamity. South India is vulnerable to nature's attack,” he predicted.
Bhatt, known for his predictions on stock markets and economic conditions, predicted that 2012 is expected to be good for the Indian economy.
