Chief minister Nitish Kumar, who returned from his week-long China trip today, said there were new areas of cooperation in sectors like tourism, power and agriculture that the two countries could work together for mutual benefit.

"India and Bihar in particular will benefit economically if tourists from China visit Buddhist pilgrim interests. Similarly our people should also visit China to see tourist places in that country.

"The tourism sector has potential for growth bilaterally," he told reporters at Jai Prakash Narayan airport on his return.

Kumar lauded the commitment of the Chinese towards development of their country and said their dedication was worth emulating.

"I was amazed by the quality of development works in all spheres in China ... Be it infrastructure, bridges, railway network, industries, power, the quality of development in China is amazing."
