2G scam: Nira Radia faces more grilling

Corporate lobbyist Niira Radia was on Thursday again questioned by CBI officials in connection with the ongoing probe into the second-generation mobile telephony spectrum scandal.

This is the third time CBI is questioning Radia. She was last questioned on Tuesday. Radia, who came to the CBI headquarters at CGO complex in the morning, did not emerge from questioning till late in the evening.

On December 21 last year CBI had searched Radia’s office and residential premises including her public relations firm Vaishnavi. She was then questioned at Delhi farmhouse.

Radia’s role in the scam surfaced when the income tax department tapped her conversations and found she had fixed licenses for telecom companies.
