KT Rama Rao, son of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, tonight said moving a resolution in Andhra Pradesh assembly for creation of separate Telangana state was not enough and asked the Centre to introduce a bill in Parliament for this.

He also said TRS would not accept Telangana without the inclusion of Hyderabad in it.

A resolution in the state assembly would not be sufficient to create a state", Rama Rao said adding "the real effort is to bring a Bill in Parliament".

While welcoming Union home minister P Chidambaram's statement late this evening that an appropriate resolution would be moved in the state assembly for creation of Telangana, the TRS's son hoped the Centre would introduce the Bill in Parliament.

On the question of Hyderabad, he said Hyderabad has been the capital of the region for the last 400 years and they would not accept a separate state without the city.

On whether his father would call off the fast-unto-death, Rama Rao said Chandrashekara Rao will positively respond to Chidambaram's statement. "I believe Chandrashekar Rao is following it."

Asked if the TRS chief would withdraw his hunger strike tonight itself, his son said "I think so because that was our demand and were are also looing forward to a time-bound framework in going forward with regard to introduction of a bill in Parliament for creation of Telangana and other steps for going forward".

Bringing a resolution in the assembly would be a "positive move" and "we will certainly ask Chandrashekar Rao to review his position on the fast as well. I'm sure he will break his fast very very soon", Rama Rao said.

Asked why he thought an assembly resolution for creation of Telangana was not sufficient, he said "this is only a step forward. The real logical conclusion to this whole effort should be introduction of a Bill in Parliament".

He said Hyderabad has "never been in dispute" as "it has been the capital of Telangana for 400 years. We would not accept Telangana without Hyderabad".
