Mother of missing Japanese national meets UP Governer, DGP

The mother and sister of a Japanese resident, who went missing from a hotel in Agra three years ago, today met Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi and Director General of Police Karmveer Singh.

The mother and sister of a Japanese resident, who went missing from a hotel in Agra three years ago, today met Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi and Director General of Police Karmveer Singh and demanded the case be reopened and no final report be filed in the matter.
 
"Eiko Shinozaki (mother) and Yoshie Shinozaki (sister) of one Kota Shinozaki, who had come to India in 2006 and went missing, met the Governor and asked them to re-open the case and not to file final report in the case", a Raj Bhawan official said.

Governor Joshi assured the Japanese women all help, he said. They also met DGP with the similar demand.

Asked about the case, Addtional Director General (Law and Order) AK Jain told reporters that 20-year-oold Kota went missing from Chanakya hotel, owned by former mayor Kishori Lal Mahaur, in Agra in 2006. He had reached Agra after visiting Delhi and Jaipur.

An FIR in the case was registered in the matter at Sadar Bazar police station and Dharmendra Kumar Sharma (Front Manager), Bhagwan Singh (Receptionist), Balbir Singh, LaltaPrasad Gautam (guide), Bhagwan Singh, Anup Kumar Agarwal (Cashier) and owners of hotel Kishoril Lal and Harish Kumar Mahaur were named in the case.

During the course of the investigation, Jain said, narco, brain mapping and polygraphic tests were conducted on the accused but no clue found.

Asked when no clues were found in narco and other tests, why the police was going to file the chargesheet, Jain said that he would look into the matter. Replying to a question, Jain said the Agra police was still clueless about whereabouts of Kota.

The parents of Kota had earlier written a letter to prime minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil seeking their invervention in the matter.
