MLA threatened with dire consequences in Karauli

A BJP legislator was allegedly threatened with dire consequences by a local in Rajasthan's Karauli district, police said today.

MLA Ramesh Meena alleged in the FIR that Ramniwas Meena misbehaved, pulled him from a chair and threatened to kill when he was hearing public complaints at his residence yesterday, they said.

People present there intervened following which the man left, they said.

The FIR was lodged in Nadauti police station and investigation is on, they said, adding that the accused has not been arrested so far.
