Minor raped, strangulated in Rajasthan

A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangled to death in Alwar district today, police said.

The incident happened at Bhawata ki Dhani area in Behror town in the district. The girl, a student of class five, had gone to serve food to her maternal relatives in the farm, but did not return till late in afternoon, police said.

Later her dead body was found near a farm there, SP Alok Vashistha said.

Prima facie it seemed that the girl was raped and strangulated with a nylon rope, Vashistha said, adding that search is on to nab the accused.
