The ministers in K Rosaiah cabinet in Andhra Pradesh today re-affirmed their support and loyalty to the chief minister and Congress high command over the 'Odarpu yatra' of YS Jaganmohan Reddy who invited the wrath of the top leadership for defying its directive.

"We are with the high command. We are with the chief minister. Sonia Gandhiji is our leader. There is no government failure in handling the 'Odarpu yatra' undertaken by Jagan. We are all of the same opinion," information minister J Geeta Reddy, who is Congress floor leader in the Assembly, told reporters, flanked by 12 other ministers.

The assertion by the ministers assume significance as some of them were seen as supporters of Jagan when there was  a
campaign last year to install him as chief minister.

Dismissing the reported allegations of Jagan that chief minister Rosaiah was responsible for the attack on Congress leaders who came to receive him at the Mahabubabad railway station in Warangal district when he embarked on his yatra, she asserted that there is no government failure at all in the incident.

Health minister D Nagender said it is meaningless and irresponsible to say that Rosaiah was behind the stone-pelting
incident.

Home minister P Sabita Reddy explained that the government deployed about 3,000 policemen under the supervision of senior officers as part of security measures for Jagan's yatra.

The government has ordered an inquiry into the violent incident at Mahabubabad railway station and all facts of the matter would come out, she said.

Speaking separately, Panchayat Raj minister B Satyanarayana said Jagan's comments need not be taken seriously as he might be feeling hurt over not being allowed to go on the yatra.

Defying the high command's directive, Jagan went ahead with his 'Odarpu Yatra' to Warangal district last week. Telangana supporters threw stones and vandalised the Mahabubabad railway station as Jagan supports united Andhra Pradesh demand.

Congress Core Committee member and Union finance
minister Pranab Mukherjee has made it clear that Jagan should
fall in line.

Talking to mediapersons in Delhi yesterday, Jagan has reportedly held Rosaiah responsible for the attack on Congress leaders and workers who came to receive him at the Mahabubabad railway station in Warangal district when he embarked on his 'Odarpu Yatra'.

Meanwhile, senior Congress legislators J C Diwakar Reddy and M Sasidhar Reddy also said it is most unfortunate that Jagan chose to attack Rosaiah.
