Meet to take up issues of ‘voiceless’

A day-long interaction with marginalized people of the society has been organized by SAHR WARU on Monday. Issues related to socio-economic, educational and cultural uplift of poor will be taken up in the event, which has been organised in view of the ongoing midterm appraisal of the 11th five-year plan.

SAHR WARU will present testimonies on struggle of resisting discrimination, violence, and human rights violations. The testimonies will be presented in front of a panel of eminent guests.

The panel will have Syeda Hameed, member of planning commission of India, Indrani Sinha, the director of SANLAAP (Kolkata-West Bengal), Prof Vimal Thorat, IGNOU professor, Prof Kalpana Kannabiran, professor of Sociology from Nalsar University of Law and Sheba George, director, SAHR WARU.

People from areas where SAHR WARU works are participating in the programme.
