Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati was demanding inclusion of a dalit in the committee on Lokpal Bill to woo voters and hide her government's corruption, BJP alleged today.
"The BSP government which is afraid of its failures and corruption has demanded representation of dalits in the committee in a bid to woo the voters," party spokesperson Hriday Narain Dixit said.
He alleged that all efforts of the chief minister to improve the corrupt image of her government had failed.
"To improve the image the chief minister undertook state-wide tours during which facts of corruption and misgovernance came to fore," Dixit alleged.
He claimed that huge turnout of people during the party's rallies in Kanpur, Varanasi and Meerut was an indicator of their inclination towards the BJP.
"A huge turnout is expected in party's rally in Faizabad on April 26 which be addressed by national president Nitin Gadkari and other senior leaders," Dixit said.
