Mayawati govt a profit-making company, alleges opposition

With Mayawati-led BSP government in Uttar Pradesh completing three years in office tomorrow, opposition parties today termed the current dispensation as a "profit-making company".
      
The three-year rule of the Mayawati government was an uttar failure on all fronts, said the opposition leaders.
       
They alleged the BSP leaders were minting money at the cost of the common people while their government was misusing central funds.
       
There was hardly anything the Mayawati government could boast of, Congress spokesman Subodh Srivastava said.
       
Its leaders had turned "billionaires" and there was rampant corruption all around, he alleged.

The state government was misuing central funds and crores of rupees had gone down the drain, alleged the Congress leader.
           
"The government, sworn in three years ago, has for all practical purposes not taken off when it comes to improving the lot of the people," SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said.
        
"These three years have brought immense hardships and total hopelessness for the people of the state," he said.

BJP spokesman Hriday Narain Dixit termed the Mayawati government as "a profit-making company."
