Maoist leader Shyamnandan Sharma held in Bihar

A self-styled secretary of proscribed CPI(Maoist) Shyamnandan Sharma alias Lota Singh was arrested in Bihar's Begusarai district last evening.

Superintendent of Police Chhatranil Singh said acting on a tip-off, police raided a place and captured Sharma, Zonal Secretary of the ultra left outfit, near Bagha rail outpost.

Police seized some explosives and a landmine along with a mobile phone from him.
