The ultra, identified as Anadi Juang (32) of Banitangar village under Harichandanpur police station in Keonjhar district, is undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital here in a serious condition.

Hospital sources said Juang, who inflicted serious cut injury in his throat with the help of a blade yesterday, was operated upon and was out of danger.

After being brought here from Daitary area of the district by Special Operation Group (SOG), the anti-naxal wing of the Orissa police, he was kept in a house in the reserve police campus.
