Man hangs self in Nava Vadaj in Ahmedabad

A 47-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his house. Police said that the reasons for the suicide were being investigated.

The deceased, Rajan Hareshchandraprasad Dave, was a resident of Akbarnagar apartment in Nava Vadaj. He worked in a security agency in the city. Dave's body was found hanging from the ceiling on Saturday evening by his wife. A complaint has been filed at Naranpura police station.

Sources said that Dave's son, Tina Dave, lives in the US with his wife. Naranpura police officials said that in his suicide note, Dave had said that he was very depressed with life. He also asked Tina to forgive him. He has further said in the note that nobody was responsible for his death. Inspector RT Gohil of Naranpura police station said, "We are investigating the case. It is still not clear as to why he committed the suicide but once the statements of everybody in the family are taken, everything will become clear."

Sources, however, said that Dave had a dispute with his family members over some issue because of which he took the extreme step. Sources added that he might have taken the step owing to some financial problems.
