Man batters younger sister to death in Bhopal

A 33-year-old trader bludgeoned his younger sister to death at their residence in Saket Nagar area, police said today.

Dinesh Yadav hit his sister Shobha with a cricket bat on her head and then slit her throat last night when their mother had gone to attend to the ailing father at a hospital, they said.

The accused was apparently upset with his parents favouring the sisters, with he was not on speaking terms, police said.

The deceased, a software engineer had returned home recently after doing a job in USA.

Yadav has been absconding since the incident and a hunt has been launched to nab him, police said adding a case has been registered in the matter.
