Man axed to death, daughter arrested in Rajasthan

A man was murdered allegedly by his daughter for not allowing her to go to her husband's house, police said today.

The incident happened in Nawalgarh town of the state's Jhunjhunu district.

The women Shamshad axed her father Babu to death on late Friday night and was arrested last evening when she confessed to the crime, police said.

Shamshad and her younger sister, both currently living with their father, were married in the same family. Husband of Shamshad's sister is working abroad for living.

Babu, the father, had denied permission to Shamshad to go to her in-laws, till the time her sister's husband returned from abroad.

On Friday night, she attacked her father when he was sleeping.

"On the basis of heated arguments between the victim and daughter few days back, we interrogated the woman who later confessed to have killed her father in a state of anger," the police said, adding, the accused will be produced before a court today.
