Man arrested for duping MBA aspirant in Jaipur

The accused Sushil Kumar was held in his hometown in Hanumangarh district on Sunday and brought to the city by a police team.

A man has been arrested for allegedly duping an MBA aspirant of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of getting her admission in a management college in Mumbai, police said today.

Babu Lal Gupta had filed an FIR against Sushil Kumar, alleging that Kumar had promised to get admission for his daughter in an MBA course in Mumbai and duped him of Rs 10.25 lakh, SHO Malviya Nagar police station, Kalu Ram Meena said.

According to Gupta, Sushil took over Rs ten lakh for his daughter's admission in  K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai, and gave them a forged admission letter and other documents.

"We came to know about the fraud only when we reached Mumbai for admission and institute authorities rejected the documents and admission letter," Gupta alleged.

"When we tried to approach Sushil, he was absconding," he said.

The accused Sushil Kumar was held in his hometown in Hanumangarh district on Sunday and brought to the city by a police team, police said.

Kumar is in two-day police custody here and will be produced again before the court tomorrow, they said.
