Though Sunday is a holiday, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee spent the day working from her residence and held a meeting with the state PWD and transport minister.

"The chief minister called me. She wanted some information regarding PWD and transport departments," PWD and Transport minister Subroto Bakshi said here.

A huge crowd of supporters and admirers gathered in front of Banerjee's residence at Kalighat, like other days, to have a glimpse of her.

The chief minister did not disappoint them as she came out to meet and talk to them.
