The Lok Sabha today saw uproar over the alleged multi-crore scam involving former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, leading to adjournment of the House for nearly 45 minutes.

As soon as the House reassembled after lunch recess, opposition BJP demanded a discussion on the issue alleging that Congress was "hand in glove" with Koda and was trying to protect him.

Shahnawaz Hussain (BJP) alleged that Congress leaders were hand-in-glove with the former Jharkhand Chief Minister and that Koda "has only got a small share of the entire money". "The Congress is trying to save Koda," he said.

Soon the BJP members left their seats to stage a walkout but came back and entered the well shouting slogans "Koda Nahin Akela Hai. Congress ka mela hai (Koda is not alone. It is a Congress affair)."

BJP deputy leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj was heard demanding a discussion on the Liberhan Commission report.

In the melee, Minister of State for Commerce and Industries Jyotiraditya Scindia sought that the Rubber Amendment Bill 2009 be passed.

As the din continued, Scindia said, "The youth of the country are suffering and they are not interested in this Bill which will provide employment to four lakh people."
