A scene between debutant actor Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, who were travelling together on the morning flight, went horribly wrong as a former IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre played “villain”.
There were lights, there was camera and there was lots of action on a Kingfisher Airlines flight on Tuesday.
A scene between debutant actor Ranveer Singh and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi-fame Anushka Sharma, who were travelling together on the morning flight, went horribly wrong as a former IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre played “villain”.
The actors, who are reportedly romantically linked off-screen too and have been paired in Yash Raj Films’ December release Band Baaja Baraat, entered into a heated argument with the officer who was allegedly trying to make a video clip of them.
Ranveer was so angry that he continued arguing despite the pilot saying “cut” several times.
“The incident took place on Tuesday morning when the two [Ranveer and Anushka] were coming to Delhi on flight IT 331. During the flight, a former IAS officer who was a co-passenger allegedly tried to make a video clip of the duo,” sources told DNA.
“The duo noticed and protested, leading to a heated argument. The officer pleaded innocence, but Ranveer wanted to examine his mobile phone. The officer refused, stating that his phone contained sensitive information. He said he would only show the phone to an officer of a law enforcement agency,” they said.
“Tempers flared so much that the flight captain had to inform security at the Delhi airport. After the flight landed, the officer asked a Kingfisher official to take him to the terminal in a separate vehicle. Ranveer insisted that he too wanted to go in the same vehicle, but Central Industrial Security Force personnel quickly separated them,” the sources.
After this, Ranveer and the officer went to the police station at the airport, but decided not to file a complaint and resolved the matter amicably.
