LeT module busted in Kashmir, 6 extremists held

The module fed information to militants regarding the movement of security forces in the area.

Security forces have busted a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant module from south Kashmir's Anantnag district by arresting six members of the banned outfit, police said here today.

"The module was instrumental in recruiting youths as militants and also used to arrange and transport weapons for the ultras," a police spokesman said.

The accused, who were arrested yesterday, have been identified as Younis Ahmad Makroo, Shakoor-ul-Mansoor, Tawseef Hussain Bhat, Mudasir Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Shafi Bhat and Mohammad Younis Bhat, all residents of south Kashmir.

According to officials, the module fed information to militants regarding the movement of security forces in the area.
