Jawan commits suicide near LoC in J&K

An army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Rajouri district, police said here today.

Sepoy Gurmail Singh of 62 Engineering Regiment shot himself during duty hours last night in Gurdan-Bala area along the LoC, they said.

He was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said, adding the army has ordered a Court of Inquiry into the incident.
