According to sources, the bus, coming from Navsari and headed for Patan, collided with a tanker that was on the same route. The bus was damaged beyond repair and many passengers sustained injuries.

Four persons, including a 4-month-old girl, died after the ST bus they were traveling in collided with a tanker lorry on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway.
According to sources, the bus, coming from Navsari and headed for Patan, collided with a tanker that was on the same route. The bus was damaged beyond repair and many passengers sustained injuries. The deceased have been identified as Mittal Patel, Sunil Patel, Jasuben Rabari and Pinki Rabari, the last being the four-month-old baby who succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
The incident occurred at around 4 am on Sunday morning near the border of Vach village on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway. Sources added that the conductor and the driver of the ST bus have surrendered before the Kanbha police after the accident.
This is the second such incident reported on the highway in recent times. Earlier, three members of a family died after the car they were traveling in met with an accident near Kanbha. The trio was on their way to Nareshwar when the incident happened.
The Maruti 800 in which the family was traveling had rammed into an ST bus parked on the expressway, eight kilometers from the Ahmedabad toll naka.
