The Bhaskar Group, in association with DNA, will confer the India Pride Awards on public sector units (PSUs) that have done the country proud, on October 9.
Home minister P Chidambaram will be the chief guest at the ceremony.

The awards will be presented to PSUs excelling in nine categories of consumer industries, energy & power, financial institutions, heavy industries, metals & minerals, oil & gas, services, social sector and trade.

The rating agency ICRA screened entries, and winners were selected by a panel comprising chief justice (retd) RC Lahoti as chairman, and members including: CP Jain, former NTPC chairman; Uddesh Kohli, former chairman, Power Finance Corporation; UD Choubey, former chairman and director-general, SCOPE; Sanjeev Kotnala, vice-president, Bhaskar Group; and KU Rao, CEO, DNA.

The winners will be revealed at the ceremony sponsored by the S Kumars Nationwide Limited and co-sponsored by Videocon Ltd.
