To spread awareness about the Jan Lokpal Bill and ensure that it is effective when implemented, Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) students will launch a website — www.yuvaawaaz.com — this week.

The website will offer an open public forum to discuss anything about the bill.

This initiative is part of ‘IIT-B Against Corruption’ drive in support of Anna Hazare.

IIT-B students have been extensively active in showing their support for Hazare and his crusade against corruption by forming human chains, candlelight marches, debates and relay fasts.

“Currently we are looking forward to create a situation to have much stronger impact of the youth across the nation in supporting Hazare for the Lokpal bill to come into existence. But once the primary objective is achieved, we want to continue this website to help the bill have a positive and desired impact,” said Vivek Pandey, a PhD student from IIT-B.

“While others are fighting for the bill to become a reality, we are thinking beyond. We want to provide everyone with access to information on the Jan Lokpal Bill, set up a forum to hold discussions and even provide a platform to report of any wrongdoings,” he added.
