House-owner pushed from first floor of building in Delhi by tenant

The incident took place in Om Vihar area in Uttam Nagar at around 10.30pm yesterday when house owner Ravi Grover went to the first floor accomodation of Kishan Kumar, who runs a tea stall in the area.

An argument over non-payment of rent landed a house-owner in hospital in west Delhi when the tenant allegedly pushed him from the first floor of the building, police said.
 
The incident took place in Om Vihar area in Uttam Nagar at around 10.30pm yesterday when house owner Ravi Grover went to the first floor accomodation of Kishan Kumar, who runs a tea stall in the area.
 
While Grover stays in the ground floor of the building, a senior police official said, Kumar resides on the first floor.
 
Kumar allegedly had not paid the rent since last four months and whenever Grover demanded money, he used to make excuses.
 
"Last night Grover went to Kumar's room and demanded payment of the rent. However, the talks took an ugly turn after some time. Kumar allegedly pushed Grover from the first floor and he fell down," the official said.
 
Based on the statement of the victim, the official said, Kumar was arrested.
 
Grover is recuperating in a hospital.
