Seeking to enlist the support of Muslims in the fight for separate Telangana, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said Hindus and Muslims should unitedly fight for achieving the separate state so that they can live in true 'Deccani culture' of peaceful co existence.
"The Deccani culture, the Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb (peaceful co-existence) of Telangana would be possible only if Hindus, Muslims and all other sections of the society unitedly fight for Telangana. This is my appeal," he said, addressing a convention of Muslims today.
Minorities form a substantial part of Hyderabad and Telangana are seen as an important stakeholder in the region.
