A local court today adjourned to April 21 hearing of the complaints against Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and his family members in the wake of Karnataka high court granting an interim stay on a lower court's order of taking cognisance of the complaints.

On April 1, Justice KN Keshavanarayana had stayed the order of the sessions court taking cognisance of the five complaints filed by two Bangalore-based advocates.

When the matter came up before the 23rd Additional Civil and Sessions Judge CB Hipparagi, he adjourned hearing.

The court granted the interim stay on petitions filed by Sohan Kumar, son-in-law of Yeddyurappa who is one of the accused in the complaints, challenging the sessions court's order.

The complaints against Yeddyurappa and others relate to alleged irregularities in denotification of land.
