Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, who is heading a 25-member delegation to Japan to woo visitors, met some key ministers of Japan and spoke about the need for greater exchanges in different spheres between Japan and Gujarat.
He was however evasive on the question of him being projected as BJP’s PM candidate for the 2014 general election, saying he was committed to his task towards his state. “My focus, aim and duty is towards Gujarat. My duty is to fulfill the aspirations of 60 million people of Gujarat”.
When he was again probed about becoming the future Prime Minister of India, he evasively said: “In politics, if and buts have no place.”
