Global arts festival in Ahmedabad returns with new theme

Ahmedabad International Arts Festival (AIAF) is all set to be held over October 14, 15, and 16 with the theme 'Pattern in art'.

With the culmination of festival of nine nights of dance, the focus has shifted to Diwali. Lined up just before Diwali is the Ahmedabad International Arts Festival (AIAF), envisaged as a cutting edge arts initiative on the lines of established international arts festivals.

The festival was launched in 2010 with a series of specially designed arts events held over three days (October 29, 30, 31) across several partner venues in the city. Visual art exhibits, performing arts, folk music, theatre, literary events among others, were presented as a carefully conceived package that revolved around universal ideas of togetherness using the broad thematic of ‘beauty’.

AIAF 2011 will be held over October 14, 15 and 16 at partner venues across the city. The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Pattern in Art’.
