Thirty five boys and girls, in the age group of 9-18, from three English medium schools in Gandhidham are ready to fly to the United States on May 6 to have a feel of life in outer space and know the mysteries surrounding the universe.

The students of St Xavier's High School, Mt Carmel High School and Delhi Public School assembled, some of them in astronaut's suites, at Gandhidham to express their joy and excitement. During their six-day training at Nasa's camp, they would apply their classroom knowledge to actual practice.

Brij Mohan Sood of Space Camp Ambassador of India said that in all 120 students from Gujarat would participate in the training programme. He said Nasa started this global training programme for students in 1982. "So far, 500 students from India had participated in the programme," he added.
