Four arrested for looting house

Four men had barged into the Krishna Nagar residence of SK Sachdeva on May 26 afternoon after one of them rang the door bell posing as a courier boy.

Four persons were arrested for allegedly looting cash and jewellery from a businessman's house in East Delhi at gun point, police said here today. "The arrested persons were identified as Ikram, Mohammad Asif, Khalil and Shiv Shankar, who allegedly received the loot," said Anand Mohan, deputy commissioner of police (East).
 
Four men had barged into the Krishna Nagar residence of SK Sachdeva on May 26 afternoon after one of them rang the door bell posing as a courier boy. As soon as the door was opened by the complainant's daughter, three of them barged in saying they were friends of her brother Shankey, police said.
The men then overpowered her and her mother and made them sit in the bedroom at gun point. They then looted Rs1.50 lakh and 800 gm of gold and diamond jewellery, police said.
 
The arrests were made after police received an input that three young men involved in the case were roaming in Krishna Nagar area. According to police, the gang used to get information about prospective targets from one Subhash. "Subhash keeps a watch over the daily routine about his neighboring shop keepers and pass over the information
regarding their family to the gang," he added.
 
"They conducted recce at the locality of the trader's residence twice before committing the robbery," Mohan said. Ikram, the gangleader who is a washerman was earlier arrested with a country-made fire-arm.
