Two security officials of an Italian ship who shot dead two Indian fishermen four days ago are likely to be arrested in Kochi on Sunday, Kerala police said.

Police reached the Italian tanker Enrica Lexie on Sunday morning along with top Italian officials, including the Consulate General, to effect the arrest.

Late on Saturday the owners of the ship had agreed to cooperate with the inquiry.

Two fishermen, Ajesh Binki, 25, from Tamil Nadu and Gelastine, 45, from Kerala, were mistaken as pirates and shot dead by the crew of the Italian cargo vessel Wednesday evening, about 14 nautical miles off Alappuzha.
