After Uttar Pradesh government ordered police to hire a chartered accountant to probe an alleged fraud case against him, an unfazed Amar Singh today said he had full faith in judiciary.

Singh, who was yesterday expelled from Samajwadi Party, has been accused of allegedly using illegal means to effect
amalgamation of a number of companies into some of his own companies.

"I have full faith in the judiciary. Kolkata high court has already sanctioned amalgamation after due diligence of court approved valuers, liquidators and chartered accountants.

"The high court has already given a judgement, so it cannot be reopened. This has never happened in corporate history. Even then if somebody wants to do it (reopen the case) then they are free to do so," Singh told Times Now television channel while reacting to the move by Mayawati's government.

The UP government earlier this week decided to rope in a chartered accountant to probe the case against him.
